College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST) are free (first attempts) to reservists. These exams are not administered by the 514th Force Development Flight. For your convenience, we have listed a few Test Sites below; however, for a complete list of Test Sites and additional information/resources, please visit DANTES website at http://www.dantes.doded.mil.
College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
“CLEP exams test mastery of college-level material acquired in a variety of ways — through general academic instructions, significant independent study or extracurricular work. CLEP exam takers include adults just entering or returning to school, military Service members and traditional college students.”
DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST)
“A form of prior learning assessment, DSSTs offer students a cost-effective, timesaving way to use their knowledge acquired outside of the classroom, e.g. reading, on-the-job training, or independent study, to accomplish their educational goals. Over 2,000 colleges and universities recognize the DSST program and award college credit for passing scores. Colleges, universities and corporations throughout the United States and in other countries administer tests year-round.”
